Located on the west bank of the St. Croix River, across from Houlton, Wisconsin. Stillwater’s population is about 20,000. Stillwater is often called “the birthplace of Minnesota” due to its role in the establishment of the state. Stillwater is regarded among the best places to live in Minnesota as well as the US.
